Welcome to the Galliformes Genetics Group website! · Sep 29, 09:17 AM

This website has been established to facilitate communication between parties interested in genetics of the Galliformes. Specifically, this website contains numerous protocols, tips, and hints for conducting genetic studies on these birds.

The idea for the site arose at the World Pheasant Association’s
Third International Galliformes Symposium as a result of discussion between interested parties attending the conference. Gillian Baker and myself (Brant Faircloth) were chosen to head up development of the Galliformes Genetics Group and provide it a home on the web.

It is our hope that this site will accomplish the stated goals and help to bring researchers of avian genetics, particularly those interested in Order Galliformes, together.

“Articles” will be posted to this site on a regular basis to facilitate discussion (via Comments) among interested parties. Protocols and participant links can be found under the protocols and members links, respectively.

If you have an article or posting (where you are the copyright holder), please send the article to Brant Faircloth. Furthermore, if you would like to submit a protocol that you think would be helpful for others, please do the same.

Additionally, we are looking for a few good editors to help take care of the site, keep up with article submission, and post additional content. If interested, please contact Brant.
